This footboard set is meant for folks with larger sized feet. The pedals are moved up and there is a larger footboard base to allow for easier steering.
Please note: We have three generations of footboards that DO NOT necessarily match the generation of your boat design. For example, you might have a generation 2 V8 with a generation 3 footboard. Please check your attachment point (where the footstrap meets the footboard) or email info@epickayaks.com to confirm.
The XL Gen 3 Footboard Assembly includes:
1. Plastic sliders
2. XL Gen 3 footplate and pedals
3. Foot strap
4. Rubber protectors for the bottom of the footplate
*Please note that we no longer import the Gen 2 system (with metal sliders) and we recommend an upgrade to this Gen 3 system if you previously had the metal sliders. The new system avoids the corrosion of the metal sliders with the new and improved plastic sliders. The Gen 3 rails also offer smaller increment holes which allow for more options for your leg length.
*Please note the rudder line, rudder line adjuster, and rails are sold separately.
