V5 TOURER

Designed for superior touring and performance paddling, the Epic Kayaks V5 Tourer is ideal for paddlers wanting a stable, lightweight, high-performance sit-on-top kayak capable of navigating a wide range of waterways and conditions. Load the rear hatch with gear and head down a shallow river using the over-stern kick up rudder. Or install the under-stern surfski rudder and go for an ocean downwind run! The V5 Tourer comes standard with both rudder options - excellent added value, with minimal modifications needed to change rudders - utilizing a full Epic footboard with steering pedals.

Built with the same hull dimensions as the V5 Surfski Generation 2, the V5 Tourer is an extremely versatile craft with excellent stability and speed that gives beginners and more experienced paddlers alike the confidence to explore their favorite environments with great efficiency.

Available in two lightweight composite constructions, the V5 Tourer is easy to carry to and from the water and unload from your car roof rack.

V8 TOURER 

 

Inspired by the continued worldwide popularity of the Epic V8 Surfski, we have combined the high-performance pedigree of surfski design with elements of traditional kayak touring to the Epic Kayaks V8 Tourer. For paddlers pushing the boundaries of fitness, touring, recreation, adventure racing and downwind surfing, the V8 Tourer can do it all! With bow and stern cargo hatches, bulkheads, and both over-stern and under-hull rudders included, you can navigate waterways and distances where conventional surfskis cannot. The volume and depth are slightly greater than the V8 Surfski to handle gear stowage. The V8 Tourer bow shape borrows its profile from the Gen 4 V10 and Gen 3 V12, a very streamlined nose that is less affected by crosswinds and helps the bow rise after punching into a wave. The stern has been optimized for tracking when the over-stern rudder is utilized. Seat width and shape is similar to the much beloved V8 Surfski, while the “hump” in the cockpit has been lowered slightly to accommodate paddlers with shorter leg lengths. The V8 Tourer comes standard with over-stern and under-stern rudder options (excellent added value, with minimal modifications needed to change rudders) and utilizes a full Epic footboard with steering pedals.

The open cockpit design of the V8 Tourer offers many advantages over a traditional closed-deck kayak. V6 Touring Surfski 

With a hull design featuring specs of 16' x 23", the Epic Kayaks V6 is unique in its class. It has a surfski cockpit with the storage capacity of a touring kayak. It also has extremely good shallow water capability with the TrackMasterPlus kick up rudder system, also borrowed from Epic’s touring kayak range.

Fast, yet extremely stable, this is a surfski/ touring kayak hybrid that almost every paddler should be able to master very quickly. The cockpit is the same as the V8 surfski and features a fully adjustable foot brace and a bottle holder. The deck has rear deck bungees, safety lines, and incorporates bow, stern, and side carry handles. The Epic bailer, breather tube and the patented Trackmaster Plus kick up rudder system are also featured. 

Our goal with the Epic V6 is to provide a boat that bridges the gap between sea kayaks and surfskis. By blending speed, high stability and a performance-oriented deck & outfitting, the V6 offers new levels of accessibility and opportunity. Touring kayakers looking to make the transition to high performance surfskis for racing in the Sea Kayak class, or looking for a simple, efficient boat with storage capacity for touring, fitness or the freedom of an open cockpit will be well rewarded with the V6.
